I use Oxy-Kem Bug Remover and it works pretty well. A friend told me about it when I was complaining how bad the bugs were all over my windshield! Anyway, It's a foaming spray that shoots up to 10 feet so you don't need a ladder. You spray it on, wait a couple minutes and then rinse. It's nice because you don't need to scrub or scrape. WD-40 works well also but when I used it, I still had to scrape the bugs off.
