it is really quite simple. i added my microwave to the inverter and will be adding my fridge once i get it installed.
in your power panel, there should be a subpanel for your inverter. simply move the breaker that supplies the outlets you want on your inverter to the inverter subpanel. if the subpanel is full, then replace one of the existing breakers with a tandem.
