I know that we have a couple of Newell owners that were in Gustav's path that I haven't heard from since the storm and I know at least one of them was going to ride the storm out. Hopefully they did not sustain too much damage. Unfortunately, the press seems to think that New Orleans is the only place on the Gulf coast and only occasionally mentions other areas that sustain worse damage. I heard that Baton Rouge, Layafette and Opelousas were hit pretty hard this time with higher winds than in New Orleans. I suspect there was significant flooding in Houma. We have friends in Lake Charles that had just finished rebuilding their home from Katrina/Rita damage a few months ago.
To all those who had to evacuate and still face coming home to damage, our thoughts are with you.
