The cool thing about this engine is that it is starting to become readily available with the newest DD16 now out. In fact I'm thinking Brian down at Newell Coach mentioned they may go back to Detroit or even Cat as a future option. We will have to wait and see on those fronts. DD is the clear leader on fuel economy with Cummins and Volvo not too far behind. Most all of the newer engine are fairly reliable for the long haul. As long as they are not used for a larger job than their designers intended.
Now, if any of you owners with the Series 60's want to up-size, you can always pass down your current engine to one of those interested in upgrading from their older DD's. You know, the pay-it-forward way.
