I can see why you would be confused.

Leave the AC power ON to inverter/charger so that the charger maintains the batteries.

Turn the inverter off. You should have a panel or switch. That doesn't turn the charger off. That way IF you lose AC power to the coach, the inverter does not kick on and use the batteries to power the AC circuits in the coach.

Does that clear it up?
