Richard, that would have been my guess that a tag pushing to one side would use the drive axle as a fulcrum and cause the opposite pressure on the front axle. I think that is one reason that the steerable tag on the ZF equipped Newells turn so sharply. The turning tag actually forces the front axle to turn more sharply than it would otherwise.

Good physical test. Now to return the wheels before your sons find out you have been destroying their cars.
