I live in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, and drive my Newell frequently to Guaymas. Diesel fuel is readily available all along MEX 15, and a little less expensive that in the US. MEX 15 is basically a toll road, toll is based on the number of axels, and you will most likely pay more in tolls that fuel. This main highway continues to be improved, but frequently does not have a shoulder to pull off onto. Avoid taking your Newell into any city unless it is a principal street with regulated parking. When you cross the boarder into Mexico, you will need to obtain a 10 year permit which costs about $50US and you turn it back in when you leave the country. I would avoid driving at night because of objects that may be on the highway that you do not see. Quality RV parks with 50 amp service my be a little difficult to find. If you have questions, email me.
