I've had this discussion with my doctor and he agrees that many of the prescription drugs with dangerous side effects are less effective than natural ingredients with out the side effects. I have a cholesterol problem and was placed on a statin that caused extremely elevated CPK levels. I now take vitamin B-3 (niacin) which works better than statins.
