There's a certain CHP officer in S. CA who's sole purpose in life is to catch every possible vehicle over 65' ~ and not only write them a $4XX
ticket, but require them to drop the trailer and have a tow truck remove it from the freeway and take it to their yard ($$$
). I've heard he typically patrols the I-10 somewhere near the LA - Palm Springs area. There's someone on the internet that actually has his schedule and posts it (yes, a CC owner recently left their home at 3:45 am with his stacker, just to be sure he cleared that point by the officer's 5am start of shift!
That's the only "heavy hitter" I've heard of from multiple sources.
