Question garbage disposal do you have one in your coach?

do you have one?

do you use it?

how well does it work?

is it basically the same rules on what you can put in it as a house unit?

Maxwell, it works the same way as in a house. You still have to consider what you are putting down the thing. Some older coaches did not come with them. Not sure what year they became standard on say a Newell or others like Wanderlodge etc.... But I had garbage disposals in my '88 Winnebago Chieftain and '92 Safari Serengeti. So, they are even more standard today, especially on a luxury coach.

We have one in our coach and use it. Not sure if it came from the factory or if it was added later. It works great.

Tips For Trouble-Free Operation

Operating Your Disposer
  • Run disposer along with a moderate flow of cold water. Continue to run cold water for a few seconds after grinding is complete.
  • Avoid using hot water when grinding food waste. It is OK to drain hot water into the disposer between grinding periods.
  • Never pour grease or fat into your disposer or drain.
