Exclamation Axel Seal Leaking

We are traveling in our newell right now and today it seems I have a rear axle seal (I think) leaking. It is slinging rear lube from the lug nuts onto the wheel covers. Could someone let me know the risk related to driving home with leak as is? Immediate feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff

I would get it fixed before driving home. You have no braking ability on that drive wheel once lube is found coming out.

Is it leaking out of the outer hub? If so, that's an easy fix that any heavy shop can do. Look inside to see if the brakes are wet. If not, then you're in luck. If they are wet, get them fixed right away, since brakes and oil do not mix.
