Default Tricked-out Nomad Airstream comes with rooftop patio

On the outside, it looks like any other camping trailer -- but it's about as far from typical as possible. Steve Clement from Quebec City, Canada, is the owner of the Nomad Airstream, a nearly 40-ft. camping trailer that's being featured on the Travel Channel show 'Mega RV.' Onlookers often stop to take a look at the tricked-out trailer that some are calling 'camping mansion on wheels.'
Clement says the trailer "had a 1980 look with mirrors, flowers and gold color scheme." Now, it's totally redone. There's a new kitchen that's complete with a custom camper fridge worth $10,000. Other amenities include a rain shower, wine cellar and central vacuum cleaner. While those perks are enough to catch anyone's eye, the real attention-grabber is the rooftop patio, which houses a barbecue grill!
The makeover cost $280,000 and was the work of more than two dozen Plattsburgh, New York, businesses, including a local interior design company called Pod Design. "The interior was easy to lay out," Pod Design owner Joshua Kretser said. "We used some fun materials like lucite panels and some green materials for the flooring. All in all, it was a really great project to work on."
But don't go looking for this luxurious ride on any car dealership lots. Only 18 of the vehicles were made, and the line has since been discontinued for reasons unknown.

Keith that is pretty funny about calling it a trailer. You can get away with the term camper and most won't say anything. It is a pretty cool coach and I can't believe they only built 18. On more of a serous note, they value it at more than half million and it's a 2003. They invested well over 100k on updating it to its current state, so why should anyone be afraid to do the same thing with a Newell that is an even better motor coach?
