Default Why are Canadians known as snowbirds

Why are Canadians known as snowbirds? Because as of 8 Am we are the coldest place on the planet. Red Deer Alberta. -37, feels like -48 as per the weather channel.

Is that -37 in CDN or US? Oh, just remebered, when it's -40 it's -40!! That is point of equalization (or no return!) for C & F.

Forrest, I saw some -58 to -60 when I was working in Pine Point, NWT (north of 60 as they call it) a few years back. VERY cold! I managed to "blacken" both ears. Although definitely not the same as the Cajun "blackening" you folks in Louisiana are used to!

I hear you Mike! We're very close to the same here, we do have some warm air moving in -15 for this aft. But wind chills are still up there. On the upside there's no mosquitos!!
