Default Shark Fin Soup Anyone? How about China Style?

Thought this was pretty interesting. Since a lot of us luxury coach owners not only roam the earth in our condo on wheels but do a little globetrotting from time to time.

Here is a photo of one of many pictures over in China where they dry out and store shark fins for making the famous shark fin soup. I have had my share of shark fin soup and even in China, but never thought about how they do it? Do you think you could get away with this in the USA?

I think shark fin soup is pretty tasty. I found this video and sounds like some brits in the background maybe making the video and it appears to be near Hong Kong Harbor.

Why not Poodles and noodles? I don't get the killing of sharks just for fins.....If the whole fish was to be consumed that could be different subject. As I get older, it gets harder for me to see any animal suffer for any reason. Much less a stupid one.... Have you watched them catch these sharks and cut fins off? Then release back only to sink to the bottom??? NOT COOL.

They estimate there are between 16,000 and 18,000 in the picture above. You can only imagine how many they kill every year.

Guys, I seen a recent documentary on this and there are like 70 million sharks killed every year just for shark fin soup. Now, I have never had it and never even heard of it til' the show. My wife informs me that when we visited Malaysia 4 yrs ago it was on a restuarant menu. I don't remember. Do they even sell this kind of soup in the United States?

This is down right disgusting. How can people do this and be okay with it? Some human beings make me sick. I'm not against hunting or fishing but this is nothing near the same thing.
