polishing aluminum wheels
Any bright ideas on polishing the alcoa wheels. I simichromed two this weekend and it was a lot of work. Are there any shortcuts besides the usual hiring of someone else? Thanks

You can buy the Bush cleaning kit. It is very easy to use. I did 6 wheels in 2 hours and they look like chrome. Look in your Family Motor Coach Magazine in the back. Buy the entire kit.

Mother's Chrome Polish works great ! you would need big sponge 4" round polishing ball , it will attach to your ordinary cordless dril,
Aplay some chrome polish wait 5-10min and after dry use the sponge wheel and buff each rim! you will be surprise how fast you can do all wheels and its fast!
All can be purchased here! <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007RDVD4/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative =9325&creativeASIN=B0007RDVD4&linkCode=as2&tag=aff iliatechie-20">Mothers 05140 PowerBall Polishing Tool</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=affiliatechie-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B0007RDVD4" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

Doug,
I've never found a short cut to polishing the aluminum wheels. I've tried all the different polishing products and they all seem similar. My choice now is Blue Magic polish & Viva paper towels to apply & polish. On the positive side after you do a really good polish job the first time, which takes about an hour a wheel, you will find keeping them in shape becomes easier. I now do mine once a year and spend no more than 30 minutes a wheel & they turn out with a mirror finish. If your wheels are just dirty, after washing, I just use Gel Gloss for a quick clean up. Using Gel Gloss only takes a few minutes a wheel. Good Luck.....

I agree with Les, Mother's Aluminum Polish with their "Power Ball". This combination was easy to polish the wheels and they were in poor condition prior to that. Last year I just polished one wheel a day and they were done. I found that my cordless drill motors did not spin the ball fast enough for me. (Clarke shamed me into polishing my wheels when we were at Crede)

this is kinda like saying which bottled water you like best.
there is an entire thread on polishing the wheels.
i favor blue magic like steve bare uses <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BO8Z9I/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative =9325&creativeASIN=B000BO8Z9I&linkCode=as2&tag=aff iliatechie-20">BlueMagic 400 Metal Polish Cream - 7 oz.</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=affiliatechie-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000BO8Z9I" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
and i agree with steve ward that an electric drill worked better for me.
i have not done my new one yet, but have blue magic just awaitin.
