Default generator breakers

ok, something that doesnt make sense to me.

the generator is a 20kw. the breaker on the generator itself is an 80amp.

the transfer switch is a 50amp and the main circuit breaker in the coach main panel is a 50amp breaker.

so....why put a 20kw generator in and only wire it for 50amps?

seems like 30amps going to waste.....

any thoughts or wisdom here?

michael and i are scratching our heads on this one.
