Default Generator No Power

My 91 coach has THE KOHLER MODEL 12.500067-RV SPEC 135014 with the Yanmar MODEL 4TN82E-RK engine. It will not start inside the coach if you go outside and hold forward the black rubber boot solenoid you can start it with the switch outside and it runs fine but puts out no power and the fan isn't running any ideas??? I am in Sacramento have spoken to a couple generator repair shops and I am having problems getting someone to work on it One tech said it could be the control board . Does anyone have a wiring diagram or parts list for this generator?

Thanks Bob

I am traveling so I can't send you the manual. However you can download it from the kohler site. It may be in archives.

Sounds like you have two issues that may be related. The first is that the fuel shut off solenoid is not kicking in. Low battery voltage or misadjustment is the likely culprit. If the gender is not piitting out voltage then your batteries are likely low. Will it crank if the coach engine is running? Check the breakers and fuses on the gen control panel

Since you are in Sacramento, give George at River City RV and Auto Repair a call (916) 847-0047. I have used him before and he is a good guy.

hi bob,

i am in taiwan on biz, but i do keep a record of my genny specs. my coach is a 1990 and the genny is a:

kohler 12.5kw generator spec number 135014 ser number 246626

generator model 12.5CCO67

fuel filter FP590F
oil filter PH2808

yanmar 4TN82E-RK

i have the repair manual at home,, but i will not be back till this weekend.

sounds like our gennys are the same, you might try my model number in the search.
