Default bleeding air tanks ?

Hi all,

how often should you bleed air tanks? is it after each day of use, once per week, month or what?

Most, if not all, Newells have an air dryer fitted, so there should be no water in the tanks and thus no need to drain them.

I have been told my coach has 11 air tanks, most are not affected by the air dryer. I drain them when the coach is serviced. Maybe sooner in traveling or staying in a high humidity area.

Many have a lanyard that you can just pull to bleed the air. IF it did not have them. I would have them installed. then as you get out. You can just pull the lanyard, and be done.

Newell does not outfit the tank purge with a lanyard as many Prevost have. The petcock is turned on some and pulled on others. The air dryers can easily be saturarted in humid climates and suggest to all checking all your tanks for water at least every few months and change the air dryers every year.
