Default late model

Late model Newell Brown and Tan or Gold heading south on the 15 looked like they were headed towards San Diego. Sorry about not getting the lower color, we were in rush hour traffic and I didn't get a good look until I was past them. These folks were brave!

Were they brave because they were in heavy traffic with the nice Newell and a toad? Just curious.

Yep!! Rush hour traffic in southern California is nothing to be taken lightly. I wait until 9:00 or so before I get on these freeways.

LOL Steve. How well I know the 9:00 am thing. Ten years ago the 15 in that area was mild compared to the 91 and the 10. For me to leave the warehouse in Corona at 9:00am and make a run down to Huntington Beach, then roll up to South Gate, then over to Commerce City, up to Chino Hills back over the 71 for the great bottleneck and arrive back in Corona around 3:00pm. As long as there wasn't an accident I didn't mind it. And you know Mondays are always better in the afternoons and Fridays you best be getting out of the beach cities before 2:00pm.

There is a Toll Lane on the 15 now and when I work down that way I always use it. Bummer is that is $8.00 for 20 Miles each way. It does save allot of time and if I am going to work then it is a write off!

Wow! When did they start the toll? Wonder if it is leased to the same company out of Spain like most of them around the country are. Where does is start and end? I'm working on making that route in between two Latin American trips.

The Toll Lanes are between the 78 and the 163. It saves between 30-40 minutes because of the traffic in and out of San Diego.
Here is the Link;
Welcome to I-15 Fastrak

There are other Toll Roads that I use now parts of the 91 and the 241 over to Orange County from Riverside County. Like I said if I am working it is just part of the expense. Besides I believe that the Toll saves Fuel and I guess that you heard we are over $4.50/Gallon for Unleaded and it does look like we may hit $5.00/Gallon soon. It went up around $.20/Gallon overnight. Glad that I am driving a V8!!

Yeah, I ran the 241 when hopping over from Yorba to Irvine, nice smooth route and at the price of fuel its much easier for the state of CA to increase revenue when leveraging against the higher prices of fuel. I just heard from family that in some areas it is well over the $5 mark because of some shortages which seems real crazy.
