Refrigerator quits working
I'm hoping someone else has had this problem. A few months ago my fridge quit. Several hours later it came back on. This has happened 4 times since then and I haven't been able to figure out the cause. It's a Norcold 1201LRIM. A few weeks ago, when it quit, I disconnected the recall box from the fridge and wired it back the original way and it immediately started working again. I thought, voila, I've figured out the problem. Now, two weeks later, the fridge quit again. Nineteen hours later the fridge came back on. Has anyone else experienced this problem. The problem is, by the time I can get anyone to look at it, it's working again. Just sign me 'frustrated'

Maybe it's giving you a warning it's going to conk out on you? I would still take it in to have it looked at.

No way to tell for sure but I've seen control boards go out that first presented as intermittent problems like that. Usually when that's the case it will continue to work in the other mode (if it quits on electric it will still work on LP and visa versa).

I would start by going through all of the electrical connections paying special attention to the 12 volt DC.
Unplug and clean each of the pin connectors. Apply some electrical de-oxidation grease prior to plugging them back in.
When it shuts down is there any power to the display?

If it is cooling and then not cooling it sounds like the fluid is no longer circulating properly through the cooling unit.
