Question In motion HDTV for DirecTV?

Does anyone know if DirecTV has plans to offer in motion HDTV in the future?

Best thing is to have a HDTV DVR receiver and record with a wineguard traveler dish when stationary and watch recorded program while in motion.

I didn't realize they weren't currently offering it. I was planning on going with something like this when we settle on new coach. Am I correct with the understanding that Dish does currently offer this? Is this the only alternative?

Yes, Dish does offer in motion HDTV. There are other satellite providers also offering in motion HDTV, but not DirecTV. I would like to stay with DirecTV because of their channel selection, Dish doesn't broadcast Boise State games unless they're on network TV or ESPN.

Currently, In Motion HD for DirecTV is available from IntellianTech (intelliantech.com). It was designed for ships and is VERY pricey as it requires 2 dishes in 28.3" tall radomes. That makes it really tall for a Newell. DirecTV uses 3 satellites (5 if you want local channels and live in certain parts of the U.S.). That makes it very difficult for HD on an in-motion. The Winegard above is a great HD antenna for DirecTV for stationary use.

I found one place online that sells the Intellian Tech K6/I6 Dual for $15,744.75. http://www.amatteroffax.com/itempage...d-i6-dual.html
