Default Gaggenau grill parts?

Any one know of a supplier for Gaggenau electric grill parts? The heating element in mine is pulling too many amps and is actually burning the wires so I need a replacement one. A new grill is $2,100...... I can eat out alot of times for that kind of money, but I'd rather have mine working.

Henry, try this link and put in your zipcode. This is the US directory for service and parts.

http://www.gaggenau.com/US_en/ServicerLocator.do

Here's a company that list parts: http://www.repairclinic.com/Gaggenau-Parts

There might be someone out there with discounted parts. If not we may have to rattle a cage or two.

Ken,
thank you for the help, but no luck yet. Having a hard time finding any parts except for the whole unit.

Henry, do you know the part number for the element? And how about the model number for the whole grill itself?

Ok Henry, we have a little more to go on. Hopefully some others will team up with us and knock this one out. I'm keeping my eyes and ears peeled for a replacement part or unit. I'm sure there are others that may need a source in the future too.

Take a look at this site http://www.appliancepartspros.com/pa...odel_id=232423

These folks might be able to give you an idea if that part would work in yours.

Thumbs up

Guys, thank you very much for your help. I just placed an order with appliance parts pro for a replacement that might work. The original one is not being made, but Bosch has a similar one that could work. The return policy will let me return it if it doesn't work but I'm really hoping it will. Delivery is late next week, I will let you know if it works.
Again, can't thank you enough for the help.

Default are you sure

Have you put a clamp meter on the grill to check actual amperage? I know Newell did not always use heavy enough wiring for the load. You might just find you have undersized wires and not a defective grill.
