Default wrap or paint?

I met a guy today that wraps motor homes. He gave me a guesstamate on wrapping our newell at about $2200.00 I think painting would be more expensive even doing it myself if you count all your time. What do you guys think?

You won't come even close to putting a 'quality' paint job on your motor home for $2200, I doubt that would even cover the costs to prep it properly doing it yourself.

Is this the stuff that is easily removable, like the advertising stuff?
I wouldn't want to do the clear 3M stuff since it's so difficult to remove.
Might be interesting if it's durable enough to stand up to road wear.
The figures for painting that I've heard of start at $25k for a cheap job and almost double for a quality strip/prime/paint/clear job.

Interesting for sure. I have had experience in the past with graphics and such. I used to have vehicles in different shows like SEMA and the LA Auto Show, some were decal graphics and others painted. I would have to speak with some industry friends to find out the real skinny and make sure it's not a short lived product more for the marketing end of things. Some are a bummer to remove and if the lifespan is 2-5 years or something, your screwed and the next guy who decides to paint will scream bloody hell.

A Newell quality paint job is well over $30,000. and you get what you pay for. Prep is everything and quality of the paint is second. A wrap for $2200 sounds too good to be true and remember that most RV resorts do NOT allow coaches with any type of advertising or writing entry for even an overnight. There are also restrictions in many State parks throughout the country when it comes to wraps or ads or signs so make sure you know the facts before you do this.
