Default Peninsula Window installation anyone?

If you have installed Peninsula windows, did you use the Norton closed cell tape or caulk to seal the windows to the bus? Peninsula supplies closed cell tape and I am hoping to start window installation tomorrow.

I am sure others will give there experiences with each, as for me I used silicon caulk.

I would use the closed cell tape and myself prefer to finish off the edge with a very small bead of Super-Stretch silicon. You can mask the edge off with fine line tape if you don't like cleaning silicon as you go. Super Stretch is great for objects that move around or endure vibration. You have a choice of colors too, like clear, white or black etc...

Years ago, on my '93 Newell, I had a kitchen window crack while we were parked. The outside temps got down into the 30's the night before and as the sun came up that morning the window just cracked into thousands of pieces.

I called Pennisula Glass and they sent me a new glass window free. Matt (express1) installed it and no more problems. If I remember correctly it was a double pane window. The outside part is what shattered.

Pennisula Glass are good people to deal with.

I'll concur with Tuga that Peninsula glass is hard to beat. I have a couple of long time friends over there and they strive hard to please. They offer all the replacement glass for Motion Windows too. Many company's just re-sell their glass anyways, so just deal direct and get first rate service.
