Default WiFi at RV parks

Are most free or do you have to pay by stay or by day? Or what? I was reading on some RV site that some RV parks charge for internet.

Many RV parks offer WiFi hotspot access on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. I would say I have been to about 50/50 when it comes to charging. It's usually something like $2.00 for the day.

Hi Tom & Donna,

If that is a major concern then I suggest calling ahead of time. In my experience most CG's offer WIFI access included with your nightly stay but you will occasionally run into ones that charge as Wally stated per day.

When they say "Free WiFi" it's really that it's included in the site fee. (one way or another they get you to pay for it)

I have seen many that are "Free" and you get what you pay for in most cases.

I also have been to most places that are free. But I have been to one park that charged by depending on how long you stayed. If you were staying less then a week you had to pay, longer and it was free... It really depends on the park, and technically its not free, just included with the fee...

In the last 3 years, I've never been to a location that charged. However, at this point I would suppose most drag their own!

For us Wi-Fi at an RV park is a must, even if we did have to pay an extra fee for it. Today almost everyone travels with a laptop or some kind of device that you can access the internet from. We haven't been to a RV Park that charges for Wi-Fi. Before RV Parks were offering Wi-Fi most parks would have a computer in their front office where you could connect to the internet. I like having Wi-Fi access. Now I don't need to leave the comfort of my coach to get online.
