replacing the bay electric heater
hi,
the cadet electric heater that was original was burned up in the water bay. i replaced the ones inside when i did the remodel and bought one for the bay, but didnt change it till this week. the new one wasnt quite the same size so i had to do some modifications to the grill to get it to fit. i have a new thermostat as well.
i was re-plumbing the water pumps with new ones so while it was empty there, i decided to do the heater. it is mounted above the engine coolant bay heater, so i took it off the wall and moved it back to provide access to the electric heater. i put heat barrier insulation on the new heater can to keep it from getting the surroundings too hot.
here are a picture of the old one (the first picture) and then the new one (the 4th picture).
the heater was about 100 bucks if i remember right.
