Default Do You See any Comparisons or Inspirations on Newell Coaches Here?

As I was doing some additional research on a particular coach I came across this baby that brought descent change at auction and I think it's pretty cool too. I see many features on this coach that most definitely inspired Newell Coach with regards to what they eventually did on the Classic's. I have to wonder if any of the design team from this company had ended up at Newell?

This coach was built from using a Champion carriage chassis with Flexible front and rear caps.

Here are four exterior pictures of this baby:

Wait til' you see the interior pictures, you will really start to see what I'm saying. As this particular company worked with Streamline around the same era.

Ah......... Jon, you are quick my friend but are you correct??? I have seen that coach with this particular interior you posted above and think they are two different animals. I was studying the me both over and believe there were at least two with this very similar layout but different interiors. Both have went through big auctions a few months apart during the huge hit on the economic crises and both brought similar dollars. I would say both have dated but very nice interiors, and very nice for 1967 luxury coaches wouldn't one say........ I'll dig up my pictures and post them up and we can compare our apples.....

Okay, here are the interior shots of the coach I'm posting about above. Maybe they are the same maybe they are not? I'm not totally sure but do wonder. What do others think? This coach sold a few months later than the interior shot Jon has posted with the link to the Barrett Jackson auction, so maybe they bought and redid it along with cleaning up the exterior and ran it through another auction for a profit....... Also, see what you think of the interior details on this baby compared to a Newell...

Ken, I think they are different coaches also, unless the one jon posted was the redone one, the lighter colors would have been done later, the darker colors are coming back in style maybe just different shades and patterns, just my 2 cents

It's kind of hard to say Keith on which way this goes. I'm glad Jon did us all the favor and rounded up and posted about this other or is it the same custom classic luxury coach....? What if it were the other way around and the interior pics I posted were with the updated interior??? They did mention when it went through Mecum Auction it had newer upholstery. Either that or Custom Coach Corp. built additional similar custom coaches with like set up and paint for possibly the same original owner or company. Or?? This was back in the genius days of Miles and his son Kirwan Elmers. These guys in my book were the true custom luxury motor coach pioneers and if it weren't for guys like this, L.K. (Lee) Newell would have not bought out Streamline's luxury motorcoach division and ever produced today what is the Newell Coach. Who knows if the industry would have even came to the point of fruition is now incorporates regarding luxury coaches or to some luxury RVs.

I think they are different coaches. AC placement in ceiling seems to be a bit different.
