Default What Does a Pure Sine Wave Interter Draw??

Since I am not an electrical guru I have a question for those who are more knowledgeable than I. How much draw does a 2500 pure sine wave inverter have? I am considering adding an inverter to my Newell. Just want something to power my TV, Micro and stuff of that nature.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Inverter amp draw from battery = typically 11x the amps of the 120 volt load

or

Inverter amp draw = typically the watts of the 120 volt load divided by 11

Pure sine wave inverters are less efficient and draw a little more (10%).

The maximum rating of the inverter doesn't affect amp draw, it's what you actually plug into it.

when it first engages can tip the amp-meter at up to 400 amps

This will be only for a fraction of a second however.. then it drops down to about 10x whatever it's powering amp wise

IE if the AC loads are drawing 9 amps, it's drawing 90 (Well about 88-89) Peak efficiency is 90 percent
