Default Drip Rail Removal & Reseal

Hi Guys,
Question about the drip rails. I am having an issue with moisture in one window, on checking out the drip rails I think its time to clean out the old deteriorated putty or whatever was used clean up the side of the coach and reseal them. What's the best way to remove them? Any issues in doing so and what would you recommend I use?

thanks,

Jerry
