Radiant heat yes or no?
Guys I have been weighing heavy on radiant heating for my coach since I am preparing for new floors. I have read the other threads here on the forums about radiant heat and I know the radiant makes a very comfortable heat with no noise. I was wondering what others thoughts were as far as cost? Is it a cost effective addition?
Any input would be great,
David

Radiant heat is nice. Not sure what it costs to put in a coach though...

I researched and found that radiant floor heating systems cost approximately $3 per square foot for a home installation. Does anyone know if this is the same cost for a coach?

Radiant heat is the only way to go. It is very cost effective and makes a ice cold floor a thing of the past in your coach. Newell Coach does this all the time. Take it to them and get er' done.

If you plan to put in laminate flooring then check out this: Laminate Floor Heating - ThermoSoft
I put this under my cork flooring in the bath in my coach and love it. Nice on cold mornings to walk on a warm floor.
Just looked and they have a sale on now. Only thing is the pieces can't be cut, but can be added to if you need to.

There is a guy, Ernie Eckberg, on the Wanderlodge owners list that does flooring in coaches. His work is very good and he will give you lots of pointers.

David we would love to have floor heat like this in our next coach. We have spent time in a couple of friend's coach during cold mornings and it was great. That Thermosoft looks like a good product.

YES, YES and YES! I have personally installed many radiant floor and wall systems for very happy customers. The floor systems are very efficient and cost effective. You can even install it under shower pans. Nu-Heat is another great product at a great price. They offer over 60 pre-sized sections that can be ran single or in series. Available programmable thermostat controls. Output is 12 watts or (41 btu's) per square foot.

Johnny, the Newell factory has been installing radiant heating for a number of years now. It is a great option. You can do it under a variety of floor surfaces.
David, go for it! You'll love it and if you keep your cost down and ever go to the sell it, it will sell before one without the option.

We have radiant in-floor heating in our Newell and we love it! We like it so much we are looking to have it installed here in our home in Montana. We wanted to have it installed before this winter but looks like we are going to wait until spring. If you go with it you will be very happy you did!
