Question Fuel prices across the country

Traveling across country have you noticed that some states have a lot less expensive fuel compared too others? If so where would you say it's been most expensive and vise versa the least expensive?

When we have passed through Colorado, Missouri and Oklahoma it's always been what seemed to be inexpensive compared to other states. California is always high.

California always forgets to use Vaseline when Price gouging over fuel.

When planning a trip I use the Internet to determine where I fuel up. I'll start with Google maps to get an idea of the best route, and then search gas (fuel) prices for cities along the route using gasbuddy.com (they even have an app for your smart phone). It's pretty easy to see on the map what stations are convenient to your route and once you pick a station you can get the directions from where you are.

I agree with Jon, although we're new to the Newell we've been motorhoming/trailering for quite a few years. With the internet we almost always know ahead of time what fuel stations along our route have the best prices. I also usually take a look with Google earth, make sure you can get in and out easily. There are plenty of apps if you have a smartphone that will give you prices at truck stops, walmarts etc.

I don't blame anyone who wants to save some money when they fuel up. I agree the internet is great for watching fuel prices. But remember some of those sites aren't always 100% accurate a lot of them are updated by customers so just be sure to check the date of when it was posted.

I didn't know anything about these fuel apps. I will look it up.

Thanks!
