One more: 1996 45' Newell bath and half
The last one was so much fun I thought I'd post another one:
OK so here's another one: RVs For Sale : Recreational Vehicles For Sale : Motorhomes For Sale 1996 45' Newell 1-1/2 baths.
Spoke with the agent briefly today, he is selling it for the owner, a Honda dealer. He said it's in good shape and is located in Greer, South Carolina.
The guys name is Del and his phone number is 864-848-4703

The wife says it would work for us at or around $55k. We have a buyer for our bus right now waiting on standby. What is that round area in picture #15?

Look at picture 22. Looks like the back side of the round sink.
Good luck if you pursue it. Hopefully someone lives nearby and can check it out for you.

Can't pick that one. Older dash and overhead style. Not sure about tires, and batteries, electronics, also would warrant closer photos of bay area.
Price looks good even if you had to add 15k for above improvements.

Do you think 46' would be a problem driving or licensing anywhere?

Maybe we should go with a smaller toad? Something like a Smart Car or similar. We have notice those little Fiat's running around lately.

Forest here you say 45'. On the ad it says Length: 46 ft?
The reason I ask. I see you talked to the dealer. I don't know much about lengths. So I was curious if the ad was incorrect.

My guess is its 45' 8". That is the legth of many Newell's. I don't think length is a problem, many people tow long bed pickups or big trailers and seem to get around fine. I know I am fine pulling my hummer.

The biggest issue is in California. They actively ticket those with an overall length in excess of their 65' limit. With a towbar or on a trailer, many large RVs can exceed the 65'. They also enforce the 55 mph speed limit if you are towing anything.

Randy I think it could be a 44' 8" (45')or a 45' 8" (46'). One way gives you an extra foot of living and storage space.

I know that by 1998 there were 45'8" units but I have personally not seen that length in a 1996 but it might be possible. The only way to know for sure is either measuring it or getting the VIN. The VIN for a 1996 would be 1N9 (Newell) followed by three digits that would be the length in feet and inches. A 45'8" would have start out 1N9458X??????? followed by the three digit coach number. Starting with coach 1200 in 2007, the last four digits are the coach number. Most of the 1996 models were 45'0" although I have seen a 42'6" and a 38'2".

Hello all. Marjorie and I are proud to say that we are the new owners of this beautiful Newell. A good friend told me about the post on here Wed night, We drove 4 hours to Greer Thurs morning, and paid for it Thurs afternoon after 7 hours PDI, driving it, and negotiating with the owner. It was a one owner, serviced at Newell most all its life, 100% documented and serviced, and loaded with options. I am sure I will have lots of questions, but will always use the search function first. Look forward to getting to know all of you.
