Trace Inverter Trouble
We have coach #515. 1999 with a Trace Inverter 2500 watt. Intermittently the inverter will come on even though we have not lost shore power. It stays on for a few minutes and then turns off and goes back to shore power. This will happen about every 2 weeks or sometimes more often. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well Howdy and welcome to the forum.
Can you provide some more details. What indicator do you have that it is coming on? Do the lights flicker? Do you see the batt voltage drop? Does a light come on the inverter panel? How long does it stay on?

Howdy back and thanks for the welcome and response.
The last time it happened, my wife heard a click and the sound on the tv momentarily went off. When she got up to look, the inverter light was on and stayed on for less than a minute. Then the inverter went off and the charger came back on, the batteries were still at 100%. The AC input lights never went off so apparently we never lost shore power. It was daytime so we didn't have any lights on. Don't know if the battery voltage dropped.
Read the troubleshooting information in the manual and this issue wasn't addressed. And the one thing we have learned the hard way is not to wait, if at all possible, until it breaks!

It could be as simple as the outside power dropped way down or quit all together for a short period of time. Next time this happens check the incoming a/c voltage.
