Default How to replace faucet and shower fixtures?

We were trying to decide if we should repair our faucet and shower fixtures of if we should replace them. Can we simply just swap them out? Or is there more to it? Any suggestions on brands of fixtures or where to purchase?

Thanks

I have been happy with my Grohe water faucet fixtures and shower.

Cheri and Ralph the plumbing fixtures in your 79 Newell are most likely manufactured by a company that is no longer in business so replacement parts or repair kits will probably be hard to come by. Most likely you'll need to replace them with a different brand. Good luck!
