vote to continue advertising American food stamps (SNAP) in Mexico
Is this real!!!!???!! That should had been an easy vote.
Jeff
WASHINGTON, March 15--Budget Committee mark-up, Sen. Sessions offered an amendment to prohibit any further funds from being expended on the controversial U.S.-Mexico food stamp partnership, which allows USDA to advertise food stamp benefits in foreign consulates. This commonsense amendment was voted down unanimously by the panel.

I didn't hear a unanimous vote, Senator Crapo from Idaho approved the amendment to prohibit any further funds from being expended on the controversial U.S.-Mexico food stamp partnership,.

Vote was 10 Yes and 12 No so the amendment to prohibit any further funds from being expended did not pass which unless I'm understanding incorrectly and I could be, the food stamp partnership will continue and that does not surprise me.
