Default Basement freezers pro's/con's

I would like to know the pro/con for the basement freezers. We will be full time and thought it would be nice to store a little more than the double door units hold.

We had a basement freezer for several years and would not want to be without it. We never use it as a fridge but only as a freezer.

We have a Norcold refer/freezer. I have found it to be invaluable when traveling. We use it as a refrigerator for the typical things that we would get regularly like beer, soft drinks, lunch meat, condiments, etc. This allows the refrigerator to work better on LPG when it is warm out. When Dry-Camping I turn it off and go to an ice chest for the drinks.
