Default suggestions for the best rv book for beginners?

Anyone have any suggestions for the best rv book for beginners? perhaps "Rving for Dummies" I have bought several books already, some good, some not so great, and they all cost $$.... I thought you folks could recommend a "must have" book full of info everyone should know, so I don't have to buy every rv book out there, which I think I'm well on my way of doing. wish they had more for Kindle, but there are very few but it would be great to have some helpful basics under my belt. Thanks!

Bluestraveler I wouldn't waste your time reading Rving for Dummies it didn't get the best reviews. I did a little searching and found these books people enjoyed.

  • The RV Book
  • So, you want to be an RVer?
  • RVing Basics
  • Complete Guide to Full-Time RVing: Life on the Open Road
  • Take Back Your Life! Travel Full-Time In An RV

However with these suggests listed above remember these are merely just suggests based by others who rated them helpful and 5 stars online. I have never read any of them so I'm sorry that I cannot suggest any one particular book. I know that if you search through and read this forum I'm sure you will find all the information you could need. If you find you have questions that have not been addressed please post them here in the forum. There are many friendly people waiting to help.

Actually all you need to do is rent the Robin Williams DVD of RV and that will teach you everything you are not suppose to do.

Seriously, check your local library. They will have RV how to books and they might have some DVDs on RVing.

My favorite is The RV Handbook - "Essential how-to- guide for the RV owner". This book is on the simple side which fits my needs. Remember Books are like shoes - sometimes it best to look at it in the store and see how it fits your needs.

Camping World sells the 10 Min. Tech Books which are full of great ideas about How To and give tips on a variety of "stuff." It might be worth a gander.

I posted asking about this a while back. Glad someone else was wanting to know also. Wasn't asking for me though. I don't read to many books. Leeann enjoys reading books.

My wife bought me the Idiots Guide to RVing and it is fantastic, but the first 1/4th of the book is all about the selection and purchasing process, the rest is very helpful though for what its worth. I've read it cover to cover and I keep it as a reference too.
