Default Sewer solution

Just finished hooking up the Sewer Solution and dumping for the first time.
Had to use 20' of hose and 8' of 1" pvc where I'm parked at the civic center. Once it started running I was able to shut off the water jet. Had to turn it on a few more times for a minute or so to get the flow going again. But it worked great, easy to clean up.
If you have the Thetford waste valve like mine you will need to get the Valterra universal adapter.
So far I'm pleased with it.

Hi Forest,

Would you mind snapping a picture of your setup?

Here is a picture of Sewer Solutions:

The SewerSolution System includes the SewerSolution pump unit, a 10' length of Discharge Hose, Sewer Adapter and garden hose connections. Everything you need to get started! A Vacuum Breaker is included to safeguard your fresh water supply. Additional 10' Extension Hoses are available to extend the range of your SewerSolution.

The SewerSolution Jet Pump is molded from high strength Lexan polycarbonate plastic. The pump body is clear to allow monitoring. The Jet nozzle swivels to switch from the Pump to Flush mode.

Our reinforced vinyl hose will hold the important inside diameter necessary for good pump operation. This tough stuff is likely the last RV sewage hose you will ever buy! To insure a good fit to the SewerSolution and the Sewer Adapter on the other end we heat form both ends of the hose for easy installation. Included with each Extension Hose is a short piece of tubing that allows you to easily connect hoses together.

Our hose is not only clean and high quality, it's a bargain compared to the old style three inch hose. A 10' section of the 3" hose must be stretched out to get the full length. Our hose gives the full 10' with no hassle. Our hose will last much longer than the 3" hose.

We suggest using a maximum of 30' of our 3/4" hose. If you need to pump longer distances (up to 100' over level ground) you can easily insert 1" PVC pipe (white pipe from the hardware store) into the system. This much cheaper and will pump out faster. The PVC pipe option is great for setting up a home dumping system quickly and easily.

I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. What I have is 2 10' sections of their hose and added an 8' pvc pipe. The sewer connection is about 10" below the ground so I cut a short piece of pvc then used their elbow connected to 8' pvc then connected to the 2 10' sections of hose.
Works pretty neat.

Is this like a macerator pump?

Similar but it uses water pressure to create a venturi effect to pump the effluent rather than an electric pump.
Won't pump as far or as high but it does what I want and worked great on the first dump. Plus you can wash out the hoses easily.

John, it does work like a macerator, but with water instead of electricity. Actually it creates a water tornado so to speak. I had one of these with my last coach and really liked this product.

Here is a good video showing the installation and use of a Sewer Solution:

The advantage of using the standard 4" dump is that the sudden rush and fast draining helps to clear the solids in the bottom of the tank. Sewer Solution or a macerator would seem to be too slow to clear the tank. Just my opinion.

I seen this system at Camping World and wonder how great it actually performed. Great info here so far. On this post above with the 3 photos by Folivier I am wonder what size and how long the pvc looking piece is. I'm assuming it is being used in conjunction with the standard 10 foot hose.
