Default 95 Newell Transmission Overheating

I am having trouble with my transmission overheating. I have a 95 Newell with a Series 60 engine. It works perfect, except for that. I noticed where the cooler is (ahead of the transmission, underneath). I can power up the fans manually, but I don't know where the fans get their power from. Is there a temp switch, or a solenoid somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

Our last coach was a 1994 and we experienced the same problem. The repair shop replaced a fan relay and my guess is if your fan is coming on after running juice directly to it, it may be the same thing.
