Murphy vs. Regular Bedroom?
Dear Collective Newell Geniuses,
I was hoping you all could provide insight in what's gained/lost when fitting the rear bedroom with a Murphy bed vs. a regular one. While I know you gain more "floorspace" while loosing "under the bed storage" I was curious about the following
1) Is the comfort of the bed itself the same?
2) Is pulling it up difficult?
3) Are the substitution of cubby holes vs. night stands a huge loss?
4) With the addition of a couch or 3 armchairs, does is work as a media room better than the standard bedroom would?
5) I assume the Murphy bed would be a lower height than a regular one ~ does that become an issue for getting in or out?
Any comments would be appreciated!
