The screw that holds all the actuation parts and pieces to the lock core on one of the bay doors has stripped the threads out of the core. Therefore all the actuation goodies fall off and the bay cannot be locked. A longer screw to access fresh threads hits the end of the key and pushes the key out of alignment with the tumblers. Arrgghhhh.
Are the tumblers generic? Any idea who made them? Just thought I would ask in case one of you enterprising folk had replaced a lock core.
Yeah, I know, call Newell on Monday.

I replaced all of the locks on my '93. A local lock smith provided them...all keyed alike. Otherwise I would put a little JB weld on that screw and snug it up.

We bought all new lock cylinders for ours from Austin Hardware. Had to press out roll pins on new locking plates. But was an easy job. Then replaced the electric actuators with some I got from a salvage yard for $25 each. Got a weding shop to lengthen the rods on them for about $10. I think www.austinhardware,com will get you to their website.
