Are You an Early Riser?
I love to get up around 6:30am, when camping. I like the peace and quiet around the hot amber's of fire from the night before. Also, to go walking around the campground when hardly anybody is out and about. This just is very relaxing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all the activities.
My wife on the other hand likes to sleep in till around 10:00am, this to me is wasting half the day.
I was just wondering if most people get up early or sleep in, while traveling?

There is nothing like a dog to get one in the habit of getting up early.
I found that there were many things I could do early in the morning, It also means that fewer people are on the Internet. I've found that while I get up @ 5:30 or 6:00 there are people elsewhere, who get up at 4:30 their time just to get this advantage.
I get most of my net cruising when everyone else is away.

My wife is the early bird in the family. I tend to stay up late and prefer to sleep in. Sometimes it works and sometimes I just don't get much sleep.

Some days I rise early but I'd prefer to stay up late and sleep in. If traveling then I always rise early.

I am also a early riser, 6:30 is normal either at the stick house or camping. The DW on the other hand could sleep till 10:00 or 11:00 in the morning and as others have so nicely said, "The Day is half gone by then". the dog and I try to get out every am and do a little walking. I love to watch the sunrise in the morning, so peaceful and yet you can actually hear all the wildlife starting to come to life for another day.

While I worked, I got up at 4 A.M. in order to beat the traffic into town. I was fortunate that we had flexible hours so I could knock off at 3 P.M. most of the time and beat the traffic back.
Been retired for 10 years now and still can't shake the habit of getting up around the same time, no matter how late I stay up
Oh well, they tell me I don't need as much sleep as I get older so I won't worry too much about it.

I'm up early. Generally about six but anywhere between 5 and 7.
Wife likes to sleep in a little (between 8 and 9:30).
I definitely agree, love those early morning walks, with a good cup of coffee and a quiet campground.

The term "early" is relative.
Since I retired, anything before noon is early.
When we go camping, I'm usually up by 0800 hrs.

I'm usually up by 5am, longtime habit. I love the quiet mornings.

A true Yogi Bear fan here. "sleep 'til noon, but before it starts, have all the pinic baskets!" Fran is always up early.

We both are up early. You'll never miss out on a early bird special this way.
