Need buyers' checklist

Hi!!!,

I am getting ready to purchase a Newell from the Classifieds on this site and was wondering if any had a buyers checklist or could list specific items that need to be checked upon making a deal on the Newell.

It would help if you told us what year, that way owners of that particular vintage could help you with specifics. Possibly even more than you want to know :wink:

For a checklist, there are many listed on the net that are very applicable to Newells as well as any other coach. The one under Class A's on RV.net is pretty thorough.

Also, is this your first RV, or are you an old hand at this?

If you'll feed us a little more info, the boys on the boards can help you more.

It is a 1982 Newell Coach and yes this is my first class A I have owed a Class C in the past.

I can't provide you any specific info about that model since I don't have one of that vintage.

However, in addition to the general checklists that KC gave you, here is what I would do. I would get the engine make and model plus transmission make and model. I would google those makes and models to see what specific issues exist with them.

Since you have a C already, you will know about tire replacement. You won't have experience with air brakes or air suspension, so you might want to educate yourself on the basics there. Again, google is your friend.
