Default on the road again

after a long hot summer and no newell adventures, we loaded up the newell and left mesa this morning for a week trip to salt lake city. sitting in the hitchnpost rv park in quaint panguitch utah writin this. beautiful drive and no problems....other than i got into a home depot spot i couldnt get out of and had to unhook the car and back it up. oh well....

we met my son in flagstaff where he goes to school and said hi and then did a easy 430 miles in total...

just got done eatin spagetti boiled in a pot on the slide out bbq grill and it is gettin a little chilly out now.

i do love drivin the newell....

it will be our last trip of the year in the newell as darlene and i will be spending two months in israel and egypt from mid october to late december. i have a work assignment that takes me to israel and then we will take a couple of weeks at the end and tour egypt.

happy wednesday.

tom and darlene

Any videos forthcoming? Hahaha! Looking forward to being somewhere where it isn't hot, too. It's in the high 60's right now in Santa Fe. Glad to hear your trip has been uneventful.....that's my kind of drive. Enjoy your trip......looking forward to some pictures of your trip to Israel and Egypt.....very, very cool!

Default Trippin Again

Hey Tom, Connie and I are going to head East from Reno towards Breckenridge on next tuesday that route may bring us toward Salt Lake.
Any special spots to stay or visit that way? Not sure if we will continue on 80 or drop down to 70 from Salt Lake to Breckenridge.
Safe Travels,
matt

We have the itch as well! I have reservations at Doheney State Beach on Monday and Tuesday (the only two days that I could get online and that was a couple of months ago). If I can get another day or two we may stay a bit longer.
Have fun in Salt Lake.. I wish I could have seen you guys at the Home Depot!!!

we are staying at the pony express rv resort on redwood road in north salt lake. it is a 3 year old very nice park. one of the cleanest parks we have stayed at ever. each spot has a beautiful grass side yard and concrete patio. we are in B3, a long pull through spot.

there are very few rv parks in salt lake city.

well....a trip report....

traveled about 1400 miles. almost half of it in hard to steady rain on the way home. high winds and horizontal rain.

only issue was the shower valve which was fixed easily.

no urgent care visits or blood shed.

newell ran like a top.

i have noticed my temp on the genny moves about ten degrees by just pressing on the accelerator or doing other weird things. i must have a bad ground on the temp gauge for it. it would be 180 and then 190 then back almost instantly.

it was a ton of fun.
