Why is it called the 60 series????

Roader Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 10	Why is it called the 60 series???? why does detroit diesel call their engine a 60 series? I know the 2 strokes were called d 71 or 92 based on cubic in per cyl,just curious. Thanks, Roader
