Default Oil and Fluid Changes

Is it better to take the MH to an RV Service dept or truck stop to get an oil/fluid change ? I know many people here probably do it themselves but I don't plan on doing it myself when traveling and What should regular maintenance costs be for this type of work?

Any suggestions for the Grapevine/Colleyville, Texas area?

Thanks!

I would first find out what oil they would use. Our older 2 strokes require CF-2. They do not normally carry this unless they do 2 strokes.

i recently had mine serviced for the first time since purchase at a Detroit Diesel/Allison dealer in Tucson. They had fixed labor rates which I found very reasonable. I purchase my synthetic oil at Wal-Mart for only $20 a gallon, but the dealer price for transmission oil was expensive. For whatever it is worth, I will go back again.

well I decided to make a stop at Stewart & Stevenson Detroit Diesel for service. Worked out great, in and out with decent prices too!

Thought I should share,
