Default Upright or Overhang mirrors for motorcoach

Which would you say offers better visibility and adjust-ability? Does it matter or is it one of those "to each their own" kind of thing? I like the idea of standard dual direction break-away dent mechanism and the turn signal or marker lights that I have seen on some exterior mirrors.
