Default 8v92 radiator cap?

I'm installing an overflow tank and checking out the radiator cap. It is a 16 psi which is bad. I tested it and it leaks. The DD manual states for on-highway vehicles to use a minimum of 9 psi. I'm thinking 16 psi is way too high. What pressure caps are you using?
Thanks.

howdy,

mine had a 16psi on it when i got it. the DD manual says what you said. i called and talked to tommy at newell service several years ago and he said to use a 16psi cap. so i put a new 16psi cap on and that is what i have been running for almost 3 years.

i know michael has a lower psi cap on his.

later

tom
