Default Motor Replacement

Has anybody changed motor on a older Newell

I been thinking of changing to a 3208 with turbo. Cat dealer here thinks it would be major work.

My unit is a 1974 with 1160

Will the motor fit through where the radiator is or do you have to drop it out.

Any information and cost would be appreciated

Cat dealer is correct!!
If the coach is a "keeper" and a re-power is unavoidable I would consider replacing both engine and transmission with a late model DuraMax/Allison.
Otherwise consider rebuilding the 1160.
