Series 60 Sensors
I think it was Tuga on the Prevost forum where I first saw a list of sensors that one could carry as spares that might get you going because any of them could cause serious power reductions or just outright engine stoppage. Here is the list followed by a question:
Timing Reference
Sync Reference
Turbo-Boost ( not in list )
Air Inlet Temp
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Coolant Temp
Coolant Level
Fuel Temp
Here are part numbers and some sensors are the same for different functions
Oil Pressure sensor DD # 23532797
Air,Oil,Fuel Temperaturesensor DD # 23518092
Coolant Temp sensorDD # 23515251
Synchronous ReferenceSensor 08929387
Timing ReferenceSensor 08929388
Coolant Level was not included because it can be easily defeated if necessary
Now the question - Turbo-Boost was not in the list and I wonder why. What exactly happens if the turbo-boost sensor fails?
Anyone have a part number for it?
Thanks, Russ

hi russ,
turbo boost sensor was the one that i was having the error code with.
the sensor part number depends on which engine and ddec you have.
all i can tell you is the part number for mine (i have 2 spares)
i paid 65 bucks for a new one.
[h=1]part # 23522322[/h]
